Katy Perry will take a new path of music in her future work.

In an interview with Billboard, Perry discussed her decision to stray away from pop music.

"As I inch towards my 30s, I think my fourth record will be more of an acoustic guitar album. That's where I started when I was first discovered by Glen Ballard and got my first record deal," Perry said. "I'm still doing the work: I'm a good balance of left and right brain, and to be an artist with a long career, you've got to have both... I've got a few records under my belt, and I still feel like a brand-new artist"

Perry has had a busy schedule. Apart from promoting her new album PRISM, set to be released Oct. 22, Perry also performed at iHeartRadio music festival, and launched her new fragrance Killer Queen in Berlin, Germany.

Perry's upcoming appearances include a headlining performance at the iTunes Festival in London on Sept. 30, and a concert benefiting the breast cancer charity, Young Survival Coalition, Oct. 23, entitled Katy Perry:We Can Survive at the Hollywood Bowl.
