Comedian Louis C.K. isn't a fan of smartphones and admits to once hitting on Gwyneth Paltrow.
Louis talked to Conan O'Brien that he feels smartphones are "toxic" for kids, reports USA Today. He said it prevents kids from building empathy as they aren't looking at anyone but the screen.
Kids aren't the only ones overusing these phones, but adults too. He thinks smartphones remove the ability to be able to just sit down without having to do something. It also prevents people from feeling sad because it prevents people from being alone.
"Life is tremendously sad, just by being in it. That's why we text and drive. ... But people are willing to risk taking a life and ruining their own because they don't want to be alone."
The Louie admitted on Conan that he and the Iron Man actress were at a Late Night With Conan O'Briend Christmas party in 1993 and he tried chatting her up.
"I got really drunk and Gwyneth Paltrow was there...and I was hitting on her and I was heavily flirting with her," Louis said. "I was saying stuff to her like, 'We should just get married,' and she was just taking it in stride and humoring me. But I remember thinking, 'I think I'm going to marry this really cute actress and move to California and have this whole different life.'"
He finished, "And I got really drunk... and I saw her looking at me with a 'that man will never touch my body' look."
