The Ohio man who put a video confession on YouTube earlier this month after killing a man in a drunk driving accident pleaded guilty Wednesday to aggravated vehicular homicide charges.

Matthew Cordle, 22, uploaded a video to YouTube on Sept. 3 admitting that he killed 61-year-old Vincent Canzani in a June 22 car accident. According to ABC, Cordle was taken to the hospital after the accident and had a blood-alcohol content of 0.19.

"I'm giving prosecutors everything they need to put me away for a very long time," he said in his video confession, NY Daily News reports. "But I'm willing to take that sentence, for just one reason, so I can pass this message on to you. I beg you. ... I'm begging you, please don't drink and drive."

On Sept. 11 Cordle pleaded not guilty to Judge Julie Lynch, angering many people who said he was not sticking to his word. Lynch was outraged and said his attorneys had him plead not guilty so that he could get a new judge on the case.

On Wednesday he pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide and driving under the influence before Judge David Fais.

Cordle’s sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 10 and if convicted, he could face up to eight years in prison.
