A man tried to shoot up a McDonald’s in Fort Worth, Texas on Tuesday, but every time he pulled the trigger, his gun jammed. Nobody was injured.
Jestin Joseph, a 24-year-old man, entered the McDonald’s on Tuesday around 9 p.m. and pulled a gun out, aiming at customers and employees and demanding their keys, according to NBCDFW.
Joseph then pointed the gun at the men behind the counter and pulled the trigger. The gun clicked, but didn’t fire.
One customer, Davidge Armstrong, pinned Joseph to the wall. Joesph pulled the trigger towards him, but the gun didn’t go off. Joseph managed to wrestle free of Armstrong’s grasp and leave the restaurant.
Outside, Joseph pulled the trigger again, and the gun fired successfully, shooting into the air. Joseph re-entered the restaurant and found where the employees were hiding in the back. When he tried to shoot at them, his gun malfunctioned again, according to CNN.
“That’s all it was, was God. That’s all it could have been,” Armstrong said of the incident.
Joseph was arrested and is facing charges of aggravated robbery. Fort Worth Police Sgt. Joe Loughman said the police department doesn’t have an explanation for the malfunctioning gun.
