Mumford & Sons are going to be taking some time off once their Babel tour ends on Friday in Kansas.
The band's keyboardist Ben Lovett told Rolling Stone, "There won't be any Mumford & Sons activities for the foreseeable future following Friday's show."
While the band is taking a break, they don't exactly know yet how long they will be on hiatus, but it might be awhile before the band releases any new music. Lovett's comments made it sound like the band is excited to be "free of schedules" with their break.
"[Arena] shows take a bit more out of us," the keyboardist said of their playing bigger shows. "we definitely want a little break. We're going to have a little rest."
The band hasn't had a break since releasing Sigh No More in 2009.
This year in particular has been long for the band, Entertainment Weekly reports. The year started well enough off, when in February the band won Album of the Year at the Grammys. They then had to cancel tour stops in June as Ted Dwane, bassist, had emergency blood clot surgery.
The band was also in the news earlier in September after the band was kicked out of an Atlanta strip club after trying to take pictures of a band member sinking karaoke.
