A Kalispell, Montana woman has been charged with murdering her husband, just a week after their wedding. She allegedly pushing him off a cliff after they got into an argument.

Jordan Linn Graham, 22, was arrested on Monday and appeared in U.S. District Court for allegedly pushing Cody Lee Johnson, 25, to his death on July 7. According to Fox News, she is currently in custody and it is not clear if she has a lawyer.

KECI notes that the criminal complaint traces the events that lead to Graham’s arrest, dating back to July 8, when Johnson’s place of work reported him missing. A day later, Graham speaks with an FBI agent and she claims that Johnson texted her about meeting a friend. She even claims that she saw him leave in a car, but she can’t prove it because she deleted the text.

Then on July 11, a friend told investigators that Graham told her recently about having second thoughts about going through with the marriage. "I'll pray for you guys,” the friend responded.

"But dead serious if u don't hear from me at all again tonight, something happened,” Graham replied.

The FBI said that Graham finally admitted to lying to officials on July 16 and she described how she pushed Johnson so that he would fall face first on the cliff.

“Nobody is shocked at all,” Johnson family friend Tracey Maness told the Missoulian. “She’d been telling people she knew she never wanted to be married, she just wanted to have a wedding, and that’s apparently what they were arguing about.”
