The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston will display a paper replica of the wedding dress Jacqueline Bouviere wore when she married then-U.S. Senator John F. Kennedy in 1953. The gown will pay tribute to the couple's 60th wedding anniversary.
Bouviere, who In Style named as one of the best-dressed celebrity brides of all time, wore an ivory silk taveta gown that featured a portrait neckline and a full, embellished skirt. The gown was designed by Ann Lowe.
The couple was married September 12, 1953 in Newport, Rhode Island.
The Associated Press reports that although the original gown itself is too fragile to display in the museum, a paper replica was fashioned by Belgian artist Isabelle de Borchgrave with the help of Rita Brown.
Marshall Field's department store sponsored the replica in 2004, but donated it to the JFK Library and Museum later.
The paper dress replica will be on display from Sept. 12 until Nov 3.
