The hotly anticipated sequel to last years The Amazing Spider-Man is coming quick, and with two or more villains this time around it's sure to be one heck of an action packed ride. Paul Giamatti to great reception has been casted as Rhino, one of Spidey's most daunting foes. Continuing his role as Spider-Man is Andrew Garfield, the geeky schoolboy-turned-superhero. Giamatti is getting great buzz to play such an iconic villain, and he himself is eager to play this villain.
Paul Giamatti has expressed great excitement for playing this role. He tells MTV that “He’s a Russian mobster, Russians are always good villains. I have an ability to just destroy things. My accent is pretty hammy. I loved doing it. It seemed to me like an opportunity to be as over-the-top hammy as possible.” Giamatti is never afraid to tackle different roles, even if he doesn't know what he's getting himself into.
What's sure to get fans excited is the recent speculation that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 may bring into play the sinister six. While Rhino isn't a part of this group, Electro is. If the rumors hold true, it could be an even bigger next few years for Marvel Studios.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has been amping up Rhino and Electro, and according to IGN those are just two of the several villains in this film. Yes, several. The public can only hope that Giamatti and The Rhino will comes back for future installments. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is slated for release in 2014.
