In July, Katy Perry promoted her album Prism with a big, gold semi truck that drove through Los Angeles. Now, John Mayer is promoting his tour, deciding to copy Perry and go the semi route.

According to Celebuzz, Mayer's album Paradise Valley is already out and available to consumers everywhere, so instead of just promoting that, Mayer is also advertising for the South American part of his tour.

The semi, which Mayer posted a photo of on Facebook, features the album cover art plastered across the entire semi trailer. The artwork pictures Mayer standing in a valley with mountains in the distance, with the words “John Mayer Paradise Valley the new album available everywhere.” Not quite as flashy as Perry's trailer, but eye-catching just the same.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Mayer has been dating the “Wide Awake” singer on and off since 2012. Good thing he took Perry's advice with the semi.

Let's just hope no one crashes into Mayer's promotional semi like a drunk driver did Perry's.
