Nearly three weeks has passed since the MTV Video Music Awards, a people are still talking about Miley Cyrus’ and Robin Thicke’s twerk-tastic “Blurred Lines” performance. Thicke’s wife Paula Patton sat down with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Life where he expressed, “I don't really know what the big deal is."
According to New York Daily News, Patton defended Cyrus grinding against her husband when Cohen brought the VMA topic to the table saying, “Honestly, they rehearsed for three days beforehand, and I don't know how not to dance with someone having their booty in your … all my friends do it like that," she explained. "And I don't really know what the big deal is."
Patton remained un-waivered by the 20-year-old booty-grinding tactics and foam finger gyrating.
“I didn't know if they thought Miley was going to sit down and play piano like Alicia Keys,” she continued. “Her song's about taking molly!”
Cyrus also broke her silence following the controversial performance, noting that even before she and Thicke went on stage she knew they would ”make history.”
Following Cyrus’ racy performance, she and her fiancé Liam Hemsworth announced their split.
