Prince Harry trained for his upcoming polar trek by spending a night in a cold chamber in Warwickshire.
Prince Harry is a part of Walking With The Wounded charity and is going on a polar trek with a team comprised of British military who were injured in Afghanistan, The Telegraph reports.
To prepare he spent the night in a cold chamber that is used to test vehicles. The temperature was dropped to minus 31 F and included a wind speed of 45 mph. He geared up in the clothing he'd been wearing throughout the 200 mile expedition and was taught how to prevent frost-bite.
The 29-year-old Prince joked that the worst part was "Going in."
His team consists of four British servicemen who have had amputated limbs after fighting in Afghanistan.
According to BBC News, Prince Harry took part in a previous charity walk in the cold back in 2011 in a trek to the North Pole.
The team also rode on bikes and cross-trainers to simulate what they will be doing in Antarctica.
His teammate Major Kate Philp said, "He's experienced at this, having spent some time at the North Pole also." Philp lost a leg when on active duty.
The race is set to start in only two months' time.
