Robert Pattinson has been cast in the biopic Life, as James Dean's friend Dennis Stock.
According to The Guardian, the film will be about Dean and Stock's friendship before Dean hit it big with East of Eden.
Dane DeHaan has been cast as the iconic and tragic movie star.
Anton Corbijn is set to direct the movie and shooting is set to begin early next year.
EntertainmentWise notes that Stock took some of the more iconic photos of Dean. The photographer was originally hired to photograph Dean when he worked for the Magnum agency.
The British actor was also cast in Maps to The Stars, which also focuses on Hollywood and is being directed by David Cronenberg.
The two also recently worked together for the film Cosmopolis.
He talked to Spanish GQ about celebrity, which might explain his next two roles. "It's strange, you don't have a normal life anymore. You spend much time trying to fight it, but in the end you find another way to live."
