This week will focus on Prince Harry, the little brother of Prince William. Prince Harry will soon depart for a trek into Antarctica as part of the Walking with the Wounded along with four other people.

In preparation of his adventure, Prince Harry is going into a cold chamber, in England where he will experience with the rest of his team, harsh winds and temperatures.

According to The Telegraph, Harry and his team will have to endure simulated Antarctic conditions for a whole 24 hours, and practice their daily routines including working and using the tent, cooking their meals and doing skiing exercises, which will take up a huge chunk of their time.

The actual trek in November is over 200 miles and will take a total of 21 days. The day will be broken up into 12 hours of skiing, with 10-minute rest breaks every two hours. He will be competing against an American team and a team composed of Canadians and Australians.

CP World reports that this is not Harry’s first time working with the Walking with the Wounded. In 2011, he took part in a walk to the North Pole and in 2012 he was a part of their Everest Expedition. Harry is quite drawn to bringing advocacy to the men and women of the armed forces. Harry is a member of the British Army, who granted him a special leave of absence to participate in the two day training and 21 day trek that he will soon endure.
