Sandra Bullock had the set of Gravity made safe before she would sign on.

The Blind Side actress said during a press conference she wanted her 3-year-old to be safe while she was on set filming.

"I said ... make it so I'm not somewhere not paying attention because I'm so worried about 'Where is he? Is he having fun? Is this a good life experience?'"

So producer David Heyman turned a back lot into a child-proof area, keeping the 49-year-old actress from fretting all the time.

"Everything was bumper guarded!" Bullock said. "People go, 'What is that?' And I go, 'That is to protect a child's head! All of it!'"

People notes Bullock also said, "[Producer] David [Heyman] turned a backlot of a sound stage in rainy London into a wonderland for a 1 1/2-year-old."

In addition to making the set of Gravity safe for her son, she's trying to Louis safe by supporting a anti-paparazzi bill. The bill aims to keep kids safe from photogs. She said her son "doesn't like [the paparazzi]."
