Pennsylvania's Shocktoberfest is offering a new experience at its park called the Naked and Scared Challenge.
For the challenge, those 18 and over can experience haunted house scares either nude or "prude" (underwear-only), ABC News reports.
"I've been a haunter for 22 years. When we started, we could scare people with plastic masks and knives," Shocktoberfest owner and president, Patrick Konopelski, said. "But over the years we've become desensitized. Hydrolics [sic], pneumatics, special effects -- everyone's aiming for the scariest haunted house. So when we came up with the idea for people to take the tour naked, I thought, 'Wouldn't that be wild!'"
Konopelski said he was inspired by the Discovery Channel show Naked and Afraid. "People are afraid of being naked...and, in a way, it allows us to kind of go back to our roots. Instead of animatronics, now I can scare you with a feather."
According to The Huffington Post, the Naked and Scared Challenge happens at the end of the night, when other customers have left the park.
Konopelski also says that there will not be any sexual behavior allowed in the haunted house. "It has nothing to do with sex. Inappropriate behavior is not allowed. We have controls in place to ensure that will not be the case."
The Shocktoberfest website says anyone interested must sign a waiver and "participants are never in view of minors or non-participating customers."
