Simon Cowell reportedly met with singer Rita Ora, which sparked a report that he might be interested in bringing her into the X Factor fold.
According to the U.K. Mirror, Ora visited Cowell’s Los Angeles mansion Wednesday night. The publication notes that Ora has been meeting with several other Hollywood elites during her trip to Hollywood, including Gwyneth Paltrow and Kelly Osbourne.
“Rita was not there for dinner on Wednesday night,” a rep for Cowell told the Mirror. “She was there for a meeting and there were business colleagues with her.”
The Mirror notes that Cowell had tried to sign Ora for X Factor last year and the 22-year-old admitted that there were talks. She said it could happen in the future, but she hopes to accomplish more before taking a full-time judging role on the show.
The third season of the US version of The X Factor started earlier this month and features new judges Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio. Demi Lovato is the only returning judge of ther than Cowell from the show’s second season.
The show’s competition has been whittled down to 40 and you can check out our recap here. Cowell will mentor the groups, while Rowland will manage the over 25 singers. Lovato was assigned to the girls and Rubino will take the boys.
