Lo and behold! Solange Knowles has released a video for “Lovers in the Parking Lot” and it’s absolutely thriftastic!
The song was featured on Solange’s 2012 EP, True.
The video features Solange dancing around the King’s Flea Market located in her hometown, Houston,TX.

Shiny shorts, shiny hoodie, shiny shirt, sequin dress and fun prints…. You name it! Solange is rocking it all, as she’s dancing from department to department. The store might be closed, but she is not alone. Accompanied by rappers Bun B and Mannie Fresh, Solange has turned the store into the dance floor. The video turns into a light show, a play of light and dark, as she sings: “I played around with your heart, now I'm playing around in the dark…”
The video was made in collaboration with The Creators Project and directed by Solange, Peter J. Brant and Emily Kai Bock.
“Lovers in the Parking Lot” is fun to watch, fun to listen to and fun to groove to. This catchy track will get stuck in your head and keep you on your feet. Don’t tell me you were not dancing a little bit, while you were listening to the song and enjoying the fabulous accompanying visuals. I know I did… and still am…as I’m writing this.
