Taylor Swift and guitarist Jack Antonoff from the band fun co-wrote her new song, “Sweeter Than Fiction,” which will be released next week.
The song is not for Swift’s upcoming album, but instead for the soundtrack of the movie One Chance, according to Taste of Country. The movie follows Britain’s Got Talent star Paul Potts’ life journey from steel mill worker to opera singer.
Simon Cowell asked Taylor Swift to become involved in the movie’s soundtrack. Swift was touched by the film and agreed to record a song for it.
“Sweeter Than Fiction,” which has been described as ‘poppy,’ will play during One Chance’s ending credits. The song will be released along with the film at Toronto’s International Film Festival next Friday, according to Daily Mail.
The song should hold Swift fans over until her fifth album is released. The new album is supposed to debut a brand new style and feel for the country-pop songstress. We wonder if “Sweeter Than Fiction” will hint at the tone of her next record!
