Pageant queen contestant Rakhima Ganieva was announced the winner of the Miss Uzbekistan competition in late July but no one seems to know how she won her crown.
Rakhima Ganieva, 18, is one of over 100 pageant queen contestants that are in the 63rd Miss World Competition. In her introductory video on Youtube, she said she wants to become a lawyer and that she recently became a student at University of International Diplomacy and Economy.
Despite her introductory video, her biography on the Miss World website notes that she's a graduate from Tashkent Professional College of Tourism, stated The Telegraph.
Uzbek officials reported that there was no competition held for a Miss Uzbekistan to be selected.
"Rakhima Ganieva never passed through any special selection process in Uzbekistan," said Zhavlon Komolov, a representative of the Tashkent-based Pro Models modeling agency, according to Huffington Post.
Miss Ganieva and other pageant queen contestants like Miss Russia, Miss Albania and Miss Georgia have active Facebook pages.
