Topless protesters from the feminist activist group FEMEN ran onto the runway at the Nina Ricci fashion show in Paris on Thursday.
Two young women crashed the fashion show when they ran onto the runway, screaming. They wore only black skinny jeans and messages painted on their bare chests in black paint. One woman’s read “Fashion dictaterror,” and the other “Model don’t go brothel,” according to NY Daily News.
One of the models in the show, Hollie-May Saker from Liverpool, said that one protester grabbed at her, so she had to defend herself.
Saker told the Liverpool Echo, “As she grabbed my arm she lifted my skirt exposing me – I pulled my arm back with such force that I landed a punch square on her nose. I was so angry but I knew I had to be professional so I carried on walking with a bit of sassiness.”
The 18-year-old model wasn’t happy that they ruined the show. Saker even retweeted this on her personal Twitter:
Post-Protester Attack Trauma RT "@holliemaysaker Sorry not sorry for punching you in the face."
