Sky Ferreira’s video for her “You’re Not The One” single featured on her Night Time, My Time debut album, is finally out!
The video opens with Ferreira rocking her new hairstyle, bold red lipstick and thick black eyeliner wearing a leather jacket, mesh shirt and high-wasted shorts. The whole look was topped with extreme cat-eye sunglasses. Gotta love the edginess of it!
The story in the video goes like this: Two young lovers, Ferreira and her on-screen boyfriend are stuck in this very flawed romance. She is deeply in love. He- not really… She knows that he is not good for her, but it is still so hard for her to give him up. They’re in the club where they seductively play with each other and have a very passionate make-out session. You would think they’re crazy about each other. When the night ends, there’s a twist to the story. And you’ll have to watch to find out, because I don’t want to spoil it for you.
Grant Singer has directed the video, but this is not his first collaboration with Ferreira. He has also been a creative force behind the videos for her “Lost In My Bedroom,” “Sad Dream” and “Everything Is Embarrassing” singles.
Overall, it is an interesting video that with the song and Ferreira’s styling has a very 80s feel to it.
