Country music legend Willie Nelson is missing something and it’s not marijuana. A stuffed armadillo toy was stolen right off the stage after his Port Chester, New York show last week.
Tom Bailey, the manager at the Capitol Theater, told the Associated Press that the toy is a beloved member of the stage crew, belonging to monitor engineer Aaron Foye. He calls the toy ‘Ol' Dillo.’
Bailey said that they do have grainy video from last Thursday’s show, in which a woman in seen taking the toy right off the stage as the rest of the crew begins packing up.
According to The New York Daily News, Nelson posted the video on his Facebook page. In the post, the “On The Road Again” singer is asking his fans for any information. One comment from a fan reads “We hang armadillo thieves in Texas.” That comment has received 138 likes, while the video has been shared 1,616 times.
Nelson’s new album, To All The Girls... is out on Oct. 15. He has postponed two tour dates this week, but is set to keep his tour going throughout the rest of the year.
Hopefully, Foye finds his armadillo in time!
