Rapper Jeezy has decided it's time to drop the 'Young' from his stage name.
Vibe reports that the rapper told MTV's Sway Calloway that he was changing his name to just Jeezy.
"No, no, no, it's Jeezy now. We dropped the 'Young,'" he told Calloway. "Yeah, I'm a grown now, man. I did enough of that."
He felt that it was time to drop the Young from his name as he's looking to towards a more adult attitude in his life. "It sound good because when I came in the game, that's who I was and that was my state of mind. But I'm a grown man now."
Young told MTV's RapFix Live that he originally thought about changing his name a few years ago, but decided to hold off until after releasing TM: 103.
The "Soul Survivor" isn't the only rapper to have changed his name, MSN Music notes. Snoop Dogg decided to change his name to Snoop Lion to coincide with the release of a reggae album.
