The teaser for Return of the Jedi was posted on YouTube by Lucasfilm Wednesday. While the movie did come out 30 years ago, the posting did spark some rumors of course and it bring new attention to the original Revenge title.

Before Return of the Jedi came out in May 1983, the film was titled Revenge of the Jedi. Fearing that the title might sound a little harsh, George Lucas ultimately decided to go with Return. But the original title is still in the teaser, which features several other clips from the film before post-production was completed. Curiously, Jabba the Hutt is kept a secret and Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber is blue instead of green. But other great moments from the film are included, like the speeder bike chase and scenes from the desert battle on Tatooine

There’s always an ulterior motive behind whatever Lucasfilm does, or at least fans think there is. ComicBook.com did note that on last Wednesday, Lucasfilm did post the teaser for The Empire Strikes Back and the week before, they posted a teaser for A New Hope. So, will Disney announce something this Wednesday, Oct. 30?

Coincidentally, Oct. 30 will be the one-year anniversary of Disney’s $4.05 billion purchase of Lucasfilm. Making an announcement for Episode VII would be a really neat way to celebrate.

Meanwhile, Harrison Ford is desperately trying to promote Ender’s Game, but he’s having a hard time since everyone is asking about Episode VII. There have been rumors that he will be back to play Han Solo. He appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night and avoided the question by smiling.
