Remember the 2007 American Gangster movie that had Denzel Washington with the lead of Frank Lucas? It appears that Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson was aiming to play alongside Denzel as Frank’s brother Huey Lucas. He may have had an impressive audition tape but unfortunately for him, he lost the role to Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Defamer released a leaked audition tape that shows Jackson acting his life off in hopes to land the role of Huey Lucas, who was the brother to New York Drug kingpin Frank Lucas.

In the tape, Jackson goes through a number of scenes and does something you will never see him do in real life that is cry. While reciting the lines, an unidentified woman goes over Denzel’s lines off the camera.

According to NY Daily News Jackson’s agents at the Joanna Wiles and Dana Sims who worked for William Morris Agency were huge factors in the audition tape being created.

According to Yahoo, even though 50 had an opportunity to audition for the role, to his dismay the role got offered to someone with more experience- British-born Nigerian actor Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Previously to auditioning for this role, 50’s latest movie to date was his movie based on his own life and with the same title as his debut album Get Rich Or Die Tryin. Besides that he has starred in a lot of movies such as Home of the Brave, Righteous Kill, Before I Self Destruct, Twelve, All Things Fall Apart, and will also have a role on new movie Last Vegas.
