Aaron Taylor-Johnson is set to play Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron, according to a new report. Taylor-Johnson, the star of Kick-Ass and its sequel, has been linked to the project for months, but it appears to be all put official now.

According to TheWrap, Taylor-Johnson has checked his Godzilla publicity schedule and has found that he will indeed have time to film his scenes for Age of Ultron. This was the only hurdle holding up the deal, but it looks like the actor and Marvel were able to come to terms, even though the studio would not comment on TheWrap’s report.

Today’s report follows one just three weeks ago from the Latino Review that claimed that Taylor-Johnson was set.

Back in June, multiple sites reported that he was the number one choice for the role.

Quicksilver will be one of two new hero characters to be introduced in Age of Ultron. The role of his sister, the Scarlet Witch, will go to Elizabeth Olsen. Although Samuel L. Jackson said she had the role, she herself wasn’t ready to confirm it.

Evan Peters, who appeared in Kick Ass, is playing Quicksilver in X-Men: Days of Future Past. Since the character is also a mutant, he can be included in Fox’s X-Men franchise.

Age of Ultron hits theaters on May 1, 2015.
