Patrice Wilson, the man who brought us Rebecca Black's “Friday,” is at it again. His latest song and music video is Alison Gold's “Chinese Food,” which is also quickly going viral.
According to E!, the music video was made on a low budget and the song is completely auto-tuned, but it succeeds in turning heads anyway.
In the highly-offensive music video, Gold sings about Chinese food, naming off menu items. Everything stereotypically Chinese appears in this video – fortune cookies, a giant panda and Chinese women in traditional kimonos holding fans.
Wilson himself appears in the video, as the man in the panda costume.
The video has already racked up nearly 3 million views, but with more than four times more dislikes than likes.
Listeners are harshly critiquing the song for both its lack of talent and its offensiveness. Entertainment Weekly points out the absurdity of the 12-year-old girl singing the lyrics of the song, particularly the phrase, “After ballin’, I go clubbin’, then I’m huggin’.”
