Amazon Studios has announced that the company has ordered two drama pilots, Bosch and The After.

The online TV studio made sure the casts of both pilots were set before confirming the news, Deadline reports. The pilots will be available on Amazon Instant Viewer in early 2014. The pilots' survival would then depend on viewer feedback.

The After is written and directed by The X-Files creator Cris Carter. Carter's new show would revolved around eight people forced to work together to survive in a dark world after being thrown together by mysterious forces. The eight strangers are Jamie Kennedy, Aldis Hodge, Sharon Lawrence, Andrew Howard, Arielle Kebbel, Jaina Lee Ortiz, Louise Monot and Adrian Pasdar.

Carter said, "I'm very superstitious about talking about what I'm working on before it's finished, and it's more fun if it's kept a mystery! So let me just say that this is a show that explores human frailty, possibility, terror, and the triumph of the human spirit."

Based off of Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch series, Bosch is about a LAPD homicide detective who is on trial for killing a suspected serial killer, while he searches for the murderer of 13-year-old boy. Eric Overmyer and Connelly wrote the script. "Sharing this story with television audiences is very exciting, something that's been twenty years in the making," the best-selling author said.

Titus Welliver has been cast as Bosch, and Amy Prince-Francis, Annie Wersching and Jamie Hector will also star.

The latest pilots follow nearly a month after Amazon had announced that it had ordered three half hour pilots from Jeremy Garelick, Jill Solloway and Jason Schwartzman and Roman Coppola.

Those three pilots were Coppola and Schwartzman's Mozart in the Jungle, Solloway's Transparent and Garelick's The Outlaws. They will also depend on viewer feedback when made available in 2014 on Amazon Instant Viewer.
