Amy Poehler has a brother, and evidently an actor-writer one at that. Greg Poehler has sold the U.S. rights for his Sweden-based sitcom to NBC.

According to Vulture, Welcome to Sweden is a comedy set in Sweden and is the first English language show for channel TV4.

The show is semi-autobiographical about Bruce (Greg), a New York accountant, who moves to Sweden to be with Emma, a Swedish girl he fell in love with.

Deadline is reporting the cast is has both Swedish and American actors. Emma is played by Josephine Bornebusch. Lena Olin will play her mother, while Patrick Duffy and Illeana Davis plays Bruce's. Amy will appear in a guest star role, as well as Will Ferrell, Aubrey Plaza and Gene Simmons.

Carrie Stein, eOne TV's EVP of global production, said, "This show is a 'first' on so many levels," referencing not only that it's the first English-language program, but also that this is Greg's first TV show that he created, starred and executive produced. Amy is also an executive producer for Sweden.
