Taylor Swift has won yet another award to put on her shelf. The 23-year-old pop star has been named the Nashville Songwriters Organization’s Songwriter/Artist of the Year for a record sixth time.
The award honors Nashville-based artists for their chart hits during the year. Swift has certainly earned it, since she’s scored several hits off her latest album, Red, including “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” The Tennessean reports that Swift has earned 14 Top 30 songs in the past 12 months.
According to WENN, Swift first won the award in 2007. She won again in 2009 and has won every year since then. Her sixth win will help her break a tie with Vince Gill and Alan Jackson, who have both won it five times. She is also still the youngest winner of the award.
The Tennessean also notes that the Taylor Swift Education Center is opening on Saturday at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Last year, she donated $4 million to help build the expansion, which will have three classrooms and an exhibit targeted at children.
Swift is currently on her Red tour, which resumes on Nov. 29 in New Zealand.
