Actress Blake Lively will be the new face of L'Oréal Paris, the cosmetics company said on Tuesday.
L'Oréalmade the announcement on Instagram, posting a picture of the former Gossip Girl actress and wife of actor Ryan Reynolds. According to sources for E! News, she signed a multimillion dollar deal with L'Oréal to appear in commercials and print ads.
She follows in the footsteps of the likes of Beyonce Knowles and Jennifer Lopez, who both appeared in ads for the brand.
“Exclusive announcement! We’re excited to welcome the gorgeous and talented Blake Lively, our new lady ambassador! She’s definitely worth it,” L'Oréal said in the caption to the Instagram post, notes People.
Lively appeared in Gossip Girl, which ended in 2012. She and Reynolds co-starred in Green Lantern and she most recently appeared in Savages. She finally secured another film role earlier this month, starring opposite Ellen Burstyn in The Age of Adeline.
According to Deadline, Adeline will have Lively playing a 29-year-old woman who can no longer age after being in an accident. The Lionsgate project was written by J. Mills Goodloe and Salvador Paskowitz and will be directed by Lee Toland Krieger.
