The Martin Scorsese drama The Wolf of Wall Street, will be released in theaters just in time for Christmas. The official release date will be Dec. 25. This Christmas release will put Wolf of Wall Street into theaters in time for award season.

The movie will focus on the rise and fall of former Wall Street brooker and socialite Jordan Belfort.

Scorsese’s first cut of the film was over 180 minutes, reported The Hollywood Reporter. The film had an original release date of Nov. 15th but due to requests to trim the length of the film the release was pushed back. The film will now only be 165 minutes.

According to Forbes, this change in the release date caused other films to have to rearrange their release schedules. Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit will be released in January 2014 instead of 2013.

Also opening on Christmas will be The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Grudge Match and 47 Ronin.
