Britney Spears' new video had to be re-edited before its release.
In her new video for "Work Bi***," Spears is seen dancing seductively, posing in a bikini, and using whips.
WENN reports that Spears admitted that the finished product is less raunchy then what it was before she had it re-edited.
Ben Mor directed the video.
In a radio interview with The TJ Show in Boston on Thursday, Spears explained the reason for editing the video.
"Oh my God, we showed way more skin and did way more stuff for the video than what is actually there," Spears said. "Like, I cut out half the video because I am a mother and because, you know, I have children, and it's just hard to play sexy mom while you're being a pop star as well. I just have to be true to myself and feel it out when I do stuff."
"A lot of sex goes into what I do," she added. "But sometimes I would like to bring it back to the old days when there was one outfit through the whole video, and you're dancing the whole video, and there's, like, not that much sex stuff going on."
FOX News took Spears' statement as a confession that she is being pressured to be sexy.
However, Spears' father, Jamie Spears, and her manager, Larry Rudolph, sent a statement to TMZ explaining that Spears' is in control of her own artistic decisions.
"Britney is never pressured into anything," they said. "She reviews all creative and for her 'Work Bi***' video she discussed toning down some parts in finding a balance of sexy and being a mom."
