Producer Avi Lerner who has been in talks of the all female spinoff film of the Expendables has recently been talking about casting some fairly big name starts to an already big premise. With Cameron Diaz, Meryl Streep and Milla Jovovich all in talks to star in the likely high budget summer film, it should be a big summer for the ladies, if not even bigger than the testosterone filled male counterparts.

According to Total Film Lerner stated that, “The spectacle will be equivalent to what Sylvester Stallone [et al] have done. Two excellent screenwriters are already working on the picture. Now we are in search of a female director.” Although no speculation has been made on who the director could be.

The two screenwriters at the helm of the film are both females as well according to The Guardian. Both Karen McCullah Lutz and Kristen Smith (Legally Blonde) are working on the screenplay. With a completely all star female overhaul to the popular franchise, and no with huge name stars already being rumored, how do you think the new ExpendaBelles will fair with mainstream audiences?
