Connie Britton said that the reason that there has been little movement on a Friday Night Lights movie lays at the feet of Kyle Chandler.

Britton talked to What What Happens: Live Monday night and said that Chandler hasn't been enthusiastic about doing a movie based on the critically lauded TV show, TV Guide reports.

Britton said, "There's been a lot of talk about a lot of things. Some people are really excited about it and some people aren't." She said she really wanted to do a film version.

She clarified that the Coach Taylor actor feels that a movie version is redundant since the show itself is based on the 2004 movie of the same name. "And he has a point," the actress conceded.

Another star, Scott Porter, is also not sure the film is getting made. "I'd put 50/50 odds on it. I'm so scared we would never be able to top the show. And I wouldn't want what we did together tarnished in any way."

Britton also talked about romantic scenes on the show between her and Chandler, The Huffington Post notes.

The Spin City actress said that Chandler tended to get embarrassed before filming romantic scenes. "Here's a little known fact, in the second episode ever they wrote us a big sex scene that opened the episode, and he was so uncomfortable with it, and it was so terrible, that it was cut out of the show and we never had a sex scene again."
