Following Disney’s announcement in 2011 that they would be creating an Avatar-themed attraction at Walt Disney World Resort's Animal Kingdom, new details are now being revealed.

Over the weekend, Tom Staggs, chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, revealed the first images of what the still untitled attraction will look like.

Staggs also announced it will open in 2017, CNN reports.

The film, which will be getting three sequels, is the highest grossing film of all time. James Cameron’s most successful project to date has grossed $2.7 billion worldwide.

In a blog post, Staggs explained "As these concept renderings show in epic scale, in the world of Avatar guests will encounter awe-inspiring floating mountains and wander through a nighttime jungle of bioluminescent plants that are alive with light and sound.”

He added, "Guests will also discover what it feels like to soar into the sky riding a banshee.”
Daily News notes the new theme park will be a product of Fox Filmed Entertainment and Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment’s collaboration.
