Ed Sheeran performed to a near-capacity crowd at Madison Square Garden on Oct 29th. Sheeran has found success with his debut album, +, and reach a whole new fan base while being the opener on the sold out Taylor Swift Red Tour.

Sheeran took the stage at Madison Square Garden alone with his acoustic guitar in hand.

Fans that filled the venue got treated to a brand new song from Sheeran, reported Billboard. Sheeran sang the acoustic song to the packed crowd, asking the crowd to quiet down before he started the performance.

Billboard added that the song will be called, “So In Love,” even though the name was not announced during the performance.

The song was simple and showcased what the next album from Sheeran might sound like. After Sheeran completed the song, fans burst into applause and screams of delight.

The New York Post added that Sheeran is set to perform at the venue two days in November 1st and 7th. The November 1st show is sold out, the November 7th show is nearly sold out.
