Fox has made some changes to its November schedule, pushing back the premiere of the J.J. Abrams-produced Almost Human by two weeks. The show will not have a two-night season premiere event, with football as a launch pad.
Almost Human was originally scheduled to premiere on Monday, Nov. 4, with Bones finishing its season on Fridays. However, Fox said Monday that Bones will continue on Mondays for two more weeks.
That move pushes Almost Human’s premiere to Sunday, Nov. 17 at 8 p.m., following NFL coverage. While this could help the show earn a sizeable premiere audience, it could also hurt since it will now run against NBC’s Sunday Night Football.
A second episode on Monday, Nov. 18 will air at 8 p.m., its regular timeslot. It will be a lead-in for Sleepy Hollow.
Bones’ first new Friday episode will now air on Nov. 15 at 8 p.m. That will be followed by Raising Hope’s fourth season premiere with two episodes.
Karl Urban (Star Trek) stars in Almost Human as a cop in a future Los Angeles, where officers are matched with robot partners. Michael Ealy co-stars as Urban’s robot, although Ealy’s character is more human than other robot cops. It was created by J.H. Wyman.
