Actor Hugh Michael Jackman turns 45 today! We know him as Jean Valjean, Wolverine, and most recently Keller Dover from Oscar shoe-in, Prisoners, but there is more to Mr. Jackman than his fabulous acting (as if that's not enough!).

This Sydney, Australia native went into acting only after pursuing a very different career path, earning communications degree with a journalism major from the University of Technology Sydney. I think we're all glad he decided to go to the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts after he graduated.

According to IMDB, Jackman's trademark is his "ruggedly handsome features," and joined People's "Sexiest Man Alive" club back in 2008. Jackman was quoted by OK! Magazine saying "Yeah, but it's okay, because me, George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp have formed a solidarity," when asked about the aftereffects of the title.

In an interview one week ago with The Guardian, Jackman revealed some of his plans for the near future, "I am doing a role in Neill's new film, called Chappie, which we shoot in Johannesburg. I'm there for a couple of weeks at the beginning of next year." Will he continue being the ever famous Wolverine? It's not clear at the moment, "Great parts always outgrow the actors that play them," said Jackman. "If you forget that, it's at your own peril. They are working on it [X-Men] now, and it would have to be very compelling for me to do it again. I've been doing it for 10 years."

So here's to Hugh! Happy birthday! We know your success will continue, no matter what project you do next!
