David Heyman has confirmed that he will be producing Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them for Warner Bros.

Heyman, who produced the original Harry Potter movies, said that no script has been submitted by J.K. Rowling yet, but "Jo is at work," Entertainment Weekly reports.

"She's not doing it for any other reason other than she loves the world and she had a story she wanted to tell," the producer said about Rowling's excitement for the new project.

The Gravity producer made sure to reinforce that "[t]his is not Harry Potter. This is not Harry, Ron, and Hermoine. This is a separate story within a universe related to the Potter universe."

When asked about what creatures might appear in the film, Heyman would only answer, "We follow Newt on his adventures."

The producer also noted that Rowling had several different plot ideas. "The fact that she's going to this world means there are stories to tell."

As previously reported, Warner Bros. announced in September that it would be bringing Rowling's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them to the big screen as a film series.

This will be the popular fiction writer's screenwriting debut.
