I first shaved my head 15 years ago. Since then, I never let more than a week go by without shaving my hair. At the time, it was not a trend.

What I am trying to say is that I have a lot of experience shaving my head. I tried an electric razor, various brands of disposable razors, and even a straight razor before settling for a Mach 3 cartridge razor.

When I was first presented with the Headblade ATX, a razor design specifically for shaving the scalp, I was really dubious. How can a toy-car-like razor improve my 15 year old ritual?

I tried the product for a full month before writing this review. I wanted to find the catch. The first time I tried the Headblade, it was too easy. It was working too well. Certainly, there was a catch.

But what was the catch?

The tool glided so smoothly on my scalp. Certainly, you must cut yourself open at some point. But, it didn't happen.

The blades must be really cheap. Certainly, you have to change them often. On the contrary, they lasted at least at long as my Mach 3, and refill blades are sold at a similar price.

The HeadBlade ATX just works, and it works better than you would expect.

Even the Headslick Shave cream that came with my kit surprised me. The texture looks like Lucky Tiger's product, and at first I was a bit scared. I do not like their shaving product at all. I was reassured after the first shave. Since it worked so well for my head, I decided to push the cream to the limit and use it for my beard with my Mach 3. I was out of oil to prep my skin before applying the cream, so it would be a decisive test. I was blown away! The Headslick shave cream alone was better that the oil and cream combination that I am currently using and pay top dollar for. Moreover, my fiancé noticed the new smell immediately-- she liked it a lot!

If you already shave your head, or if you ponder the idea, the Headblade is definitively something you need to try. Personally, it is now my official head shaving tool.
