High Highs, Australian Indie Pop Rock band has released the video for their cover of “A Real Hero.” Originally a College (ft. Electric Youth) track transformed from an electronic coolness into a guitar and drums dominated indie pop awesomeness. (I personally adore both versions equally.)

The band has decided to exclusively stream and premiere the video on Stereogum. Even though the video does feature High High’s Jack Milas and Oli Chang in the opening and in the end, the main focus happens to be on a group of people jumping in the lake in slow motion, somewhere deep in the forest, while having the time of their lives. The fun –packed video really does complement the song and its airy, dreamy, soft vocals and indie/dream pop instrumentals.

The video was directed by E.J. Leavey-Fisher and the High Highs have explained in the video description on YouTube, that people featured in the video are their friends.

“We went to the forest with our friends for a day and jumped off some cliffs.”

High Highs have released a High Highs EP and Open Season album. They’re available to buy on their official website, Amazon and iTunes.

Side fact: “A Real Hero” by College & Electric Youth has been featured on the soundtrack of Nicolas Winding Refn’s movie “Drive.”
