My little lady is in baking heaven with her new Ultimate Easy Bake Oven by Hasbro. This is the perfect addition to anyone's holiday gift list for ages 8 and up. This is a completely revamped model of the original Easy Bake Oven, first offered in 1963. I was so excited to bake with my daughter as I had the original easy bake oven as a child. New features include a sleeker and more modern look, larger baking section as well as the elimination of the original "light bulb" heating agent and the introduction of a heating element more like a toaster oven. That is not all! The menu has expanded to include pizza, pretzels, red velvet cupcakes, cinnamon twists, cakes and brownie sticks (yum!) A larger baking tray allows for baking more of these fun treats.
Parents should plug in the oven ahead of time: it requires around 20 minutes to pre-heat and what 8 year old doesn't tend to be impatient? (LOL) Simply whip up the mix, pop the baking pan in the oven and bake. An included pan tool provides easy retrieval of your baked goods from the oven when finished.
The Ultimate Easy Bake Oven comes with the following items: baking pan, cupcake pan, pan pusher, chocolate cookie mix, red velvet cake mix, pink frosting mix, rainbow sugar crystals, paper cupcake wrappers and the instruction/recipe booklet. Additional items we needed include : non stick spray, water, measuring spoons, mixing bowls and of course a few paper towels. We cannot wait to run out and try some of the refill kits which include options such as Pizza and Dessert Dippers as well as the cupcakes and cookies. Refills range in price from $6.99 to $12.99.
