Jay Z ditched the limo and instead rode the London Tube Saturday on the way to his concert at the O2 Arena. Coldplay singer Chris Martin and rapper Timbaland joined the “Holy Grail” artist on London’s public subway.
The famous trio was seen at Waterloo Station, taking the tube for a mere seven dollars, E! Online reports.
Surprised passengers took to Twitter to report their star sighting.
@Its_EH tweeted, “Coming off the tube and I see Jay Z casually walking up the next escalator next to me... EVERYONE GOES NUTS!!”
The O2 Arena tweeted a picture of Jay Z smiling in transit to the show.
We love that Jay Z got the tube here last night. Final show tomo and few tix still available http://t.co/3OsLjR8Avq pic.twitter.com/gH1ugmimF1

Saturday wasn’t the first time the hip-hop megastar rode the subway to one of his concerts. Last October, Jay Z took a New York City subway to his concert in Brooklyn.
Jay Z still has another show at the O2 Arena on Monday. Maybe he will shock Londoners once again and arrive to the concert by the tube.
