Actor Josh Brolin is reportedly looking to take a leading role in Universal’s Jurassic World, the fourth film in the Jurassic Park franchise.

Both The Hollywood Reporter and TheWrap are reporting that Brolin is being considered for the leading male role. However, Universal has yet to make Brolin a formal offer and talks with the Oldboy actor have yet to start.

Brolin is the first adult male star to have his name linked to Jurassic World. Last month, The Help actress Bryce Dallas Howard began negotiations with the studio. Nick Robinson, 18, and Ty Simpkins, 12, are set to play brothers in the film.

The plot of the project is unknown. Safety Not Guaranteed director Colin Trevorrow is directing and co-writing the screenplay with Derek Connolly. THR notes that executive producer Steven Spielberg, who directed Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park, has taken an active role in casting the new film. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are producing.

Jurassic World will hit theaters on June 12, 2015 in 3D.

Brolin was nominated for a Best Supporting Oscar for Milk and starred in the Best Picture winner No Country For Old Men. He will next be seen in Oldboy in November and Jason Reitman’s Labor Day in January. He’s also working with Paul Thomas Anderson on Inherent Vice.
