Kenyth Mogan at first listen sounds like a Disney creation. The first track off of Mogan’s EP Fall Apart is a cover of the 80’s song, “Mickey.” For being the first track on the EP, this gets the sound and experience off on the wrong foot.

Fall Apart sounds like it should have been released back in 1990 at the height of the boy band era. Kenyth Mogan has a very similar sound to that of *NSYNC and The Backstreet Boys. The songs are catchy and the vocals are strong on the EP but Mogan sounds like just another male singer trying to fit into top 40 radio.

A stand out song on the EP is, “One Worth Losing,” it sounds like on this record Mogan embraced more of the style that is being used in 2013’s pop music. The song has a strong beat and Mogan tones down the ‘Disney’ style vocals.

Overall, Mogan might be able to reach a younger pop audience but Fall Apart could improve if it had embraced more of the sounds of todays generation and if Mogan would push his vocals more.
