Larri Thomas, a dancer and actress who appeared in several classic Hollywood musicals, has died at age 81.
Thomas died shortly after a fall at her Van Nuys home, a family friend told The Hollywood Reporter.
As WENN notes, she was best known for appearing in the striptease for the 1966 Dean Martin movie The Silencers during its opening credits. She also worked with Julie Andrews as a stand-in for her during Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music. She had small parts in both films.
Thomas, born in Wayne, Pa., was also a Goldwyn Girls dancer in 1955’s Guys and Dolls. Other credits include South Pacific, the Bing Crosby/Bob Hope movie Road to Bali, The Pajama Game, Love Me or Leave Me, House of Wax and Million Dollar Mermaid.
On television, she appeared in three Fred Astaire dancing specials and appeared on Martin’s NBC variety show in the 1960s.
She is survived by husband Bruce Hoy and daughters Amy and Elizabeth.
