For those that love Marvel’s superheroes Fantastic Four get ready because the four heroes are getting another movie reboot and with new faces.

Apparently, Michael B. Jordan will be playing in the human torch in the Fantastic Four reboot. Jordan is known for his ground breaking portrayal of Oscar Grant in the movie Fruitvale Station and Chronicle. Fruitvale Station is based on the true story of Oscar Grant, an unarmed young man gunned down by BART police office Johannes Mehserle in Oakland, Cali., in 2009.

There were rumors that Jordan was being considered for the role of Johnny Storm, who was previously played by Chris Evans.

Schmoesknow reported the news to a trusted source in Jordan’s agency.

However, the report has brought out the racism in some comic fans, citing that Johnny Storm should not be played by the African-American actor according to Yahoo!

This is not the first time such backlash has come about from some comic book fans; many opposed Idris Elba, the star of the BBC hit show Luther, to play the Norse god, Heimdall in the movie Thor.

Whether or not some fans like it, if true, Michael B. Jordan is the new Johnny Storm. With Jordan’s acting skills it’s no wonder why the 26-year-old actor was chosen.
