Miley Cyrus’ new music is not only a success here in the U.S., but it’s proven to be a hit in the U.K. as well.
Cyrus’ album Bangerz has made the top spot on the U.K. albums chart, and her single “Wrecking Ball” has made the No. 1 spot for the singles chart.
According to Billboard, the 20-year-old pop star is the first this year to achieve both feats – an album and a single a No. 1.
She topped the singles chart for the second time in her career, just nine weeks after her first No. 1 on the U.K. chart for “We Can’t Stop.” This is her third top ten album in the U.K., though.
“I truly appreciate the love I'm getting from the UK,” she told the OfficialCharts.com, Daily Mail reports. She will be returning to the U.K. in November and “can’t wait.”
She celebrated pulling double duty on the charts on Twitter, writing:
