The Montana woman who was accused of pushing her husband of one week off a cliff has been charged with his murder.

Jordan Linn Graham, 22, was reportedly out on a walk through Glacier National Park on July 7 with her husband of only eight days, 25-year-old Cody Lee Johnson, when the couple got into a heated argument. Graham, who was having second thoughts about the marriage, said that her husband grabbed her arm when she turned to leave.

She responded by pushing “Johnson with both hands in the back and as a result, he fell face first off the cliff,” according to an official court affidavit filed this summer.

Johnson was reported missing on July 8 when he did not show up for work that morning.

A day after the disappearance of her husband, Graham told the police that her husband’s “buddies from Washington probably came and got him,” reports the Washington Post. She told them that she had seen a dark colored car leaving their driveway.

Three days later, on July 11, Graham reportedly told police that she found her husband’s body near Loop Trail when she was out searching for him. His body was recovered the next day.

After allegedly confessing to pushing her husband off of the cliff, Graham was placed under house arrest and was ordered to go in for an evaluation of her mental health. Graham has since been charged with first-degree and second-degree murder, as well as giving a false statement to police at the time of the investigation.

Upon appearing in court Friday morning, Graham pleaded not guilty to all the charges. If convicted of first-degree murder, she will face a mandatory life-sentence.
